| Our comfortable,
two-bedroom vacation cabin is ideally located for ATV enthusiasts
visiting the Pinnacle Creek section of the Hatfield & McCoy
Trail in southern West Virginia. Less than a half hour from the
Pinnacle Creek trailhead and 20 minutes from I-77/64 at Beckley,
the cabin provides access to great shops and restaurants as well
as isolated mountain trails. Ghost towns, historic sites, and
natural areas are yours to explore among the mountains around the
cabin. |

The Helen ATV Cabin is located in historic Helen, WV -- a
traditional West Virginia coal-mining town or "coal
camp" -- on W.Va. Route 16 (part of the West Virginia Coal
Heritage Highway). The cabin is a drive of approximately 20
minutes from Beckley, 10 minutes from Twin Falls State Park, and
30 minutes from the Pinnacle Creek trailhead of the Hatfield &
McCoy Trail System.

The Helen ATV cabin sleeps eight and includes a full kitchen, a
spacious living room with dining area, a full bathroom with a
shower and Jacuzzi tub, and two large bedrooms -- one with two
single beds and another with a single bed and full-sized bed. A
wrap around porch with privacy fencing afford the perfect setting
for outdoor dining. The cabin's living room is outfitted with
memorabilia from the area's coal-mining history and includes a
pot-bellied stove for great historical atmosphere. All linens and
kitchenware are provided. Pets are permitted with a deposit. |

ATV Storage:
Protect your ATVs and equipment in our indoor storage area on
ground level in the first floor of the cabin.
Rates: $85 per night for two; $10 per each additional person or
pet.
Directions: From I-77 exit 42 (Robert C. Byrd Drive Exit),
follow the W.Va. Route 16 (WV-16) expressway south to Sophia, WV.
Turn right at the traffic signal on Main Street in Sophia and
continue on W.Va. 16, a two-lane highway, through the historic
mining communities, now virtually ghost towns, of Tams and Ury.
The cabin is located on the left just beyond in Helen. A sign
along the highway with our prominent Appalachian Backcountry logo
will guide you easily into the cabin parking area.
